NIFT Mumbai used HGH India 2026 to present its programmes, student projects and sustainability focus while building stronger links with industry.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, marked its presence at HGH India 2026, one of the country’s leading trade exhibitions for home textiles, home décor, gifts and houseware. The four-day event was held from June 30 to July 3 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, Mumbai.
HGH India 2026 drew 43,920 trade buyers from more than 700 cities and towns, along with 32 international participants. The exhibition brought together manufacturers, retailers, exporters, architects, interior designers, e-commerce companies, institutional buyers and other professionals from across the sector. It also featured Trend Forecasts, the H-Circle Product Innovation Awards, HGH India Interactive and the Indian Heritage and Sustainability Pavilion.
NIFT Mumbai set up a dedicated stall to highlight its Regular Academic Programmes, Continuing Education Programmes, Craft Cluster Initiatives, the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM) Project and student-led innovations. Through these displays, the institute showcased its work in design, technology, sustainability, research and industry collaboration.
Smt. Vrunda Manohar Desai, IRS, Textile Commissioner, Government of India, visited the stall and appreciated NIFT’s efforts in promoting quality education, research, craft development and industry partnerships.
